This week has been horrifying
Los Angeles County wildfires have decimated so much of our beloved homeland
The Palisades, Hurst, Eaton wildfires and more recent flare ups have forced over 150,000 residents to evacuate, and have consumed nearly 4,000 acres, destroying more than 10,000 structures
Evacuation orders are still in place for residents of the Palisades fire, which is now 8% contained. The Eaton fire has killed at least 5 people, burned almost 14,000 acres, approximately 5,000 structures have been destroyed. There is 3% containment at this time. This information was updated at the 8 am and 9 am news briefings.
Our hearts are broken for all those affected by these fires.
It will take years for our Los Angeles neighbors to regain their lives and for neighborhoods to return to normal.
If you are able and want to help those who's lives have been upended a list of organizations providing relief has been compiled.
